The
Emotional Obsession of
"Falling in Love".
I've read many definitions trying to get at
what most people mean by "falling in love." I read one that
said: "Love is a four letter word, composed of two consonants L and
V, two vowels: O and E, and two fools you and me." There is some
truth to that. Especially the part about two fools. People often do
foolish things when they are "in love". Some get sexually
involved outside of marriage. Others leave their spouse and run away with
the new lover.
The emotional obsession of "falling in
love" is next door to insanity. In fact, there is not a lot of
difference between being "in love" and being
"insane."
The in-love obsession, has an average life
span of two years. The tragedy is that so many people make foolish
decisions while obsessed and later regret their action. If you are married
and "in love" with someone else, reach out to a pastor,
counselor, or friend and say "please help me, I'm insane."
