Decision Making Expresses
Love.
If you have listened this week, it
should be clear by now that decision making is not a power game.
Decision making is a place to express love. Each asking the question:
"What is best for my spouse in this
decision?" As Paul said in Philippians 2:4 We are each to look out
for the others best interests. This is the attitude
that makes decision making a joy rather than a battlefield.
But someone is saying, "But
isn't that rather idealistic?" My answer is 'NO." "It is
impossible, unless you are controlled by the Holy
Spirit. That is why our relationship with God is so important
to our marriage. We cannot follow the Biblical plan for marriage without
God's help.
Your personal time with God each day
in which you drink in His Word and open your heart to His
plans is the most important thing you can do to create a climate in your
marriage where love reigns and decisions are made in
unity.
